All stainless steel and chrome is original to this beautiful survivor and has been removed, straightened, re-plated and polished to show quality.Labored over above factory specifications to enhance attention to the classic design and craftsmanship of yesteryear. 3 Coats of Cashmere Chevy Blue with 4 coats of clear. Originally, a V8 265 car which was state of the art for 1955, this beauty was restored with modern usability in mind. A 1998 Chevy 350 block was chosen to be the Heart of this beauty. Completely machined, blueprinted, line honed and refitted with brand new pistons, rings, lifters, gaskets etc. Smooth modern power, reliability and parts accessibility is yours to enjoy in this museum quality vehicle automated to a modern TH350 Chevy transmission, allowing the owner to do more than just show this exotic auto. You can drive it anywhere! The restoration also included factory Chevrolet undercoating which was sourced NOS. Brake lines, fuel lines, brakes, wheels and every suspension part are New. This Bel Air rides and drives better than a brand new car with less than 800 miles on the rebuilt odometer. The first 500 miles were driven to sort out any "bugs" and the rest of the miles were for my own enjoyment. The drive shaft and rear end are completely rebuilt with receipts to show. The original generator and power steering pump were kept and rebuilt to maintain the "Originality" of the car. According to the VIN tag translation, this beauty rolled off the line two-toned turquoise and white which has been changed to cashmere blue and ivory white. Power steering, power brakes, power top and impressive bit of gingerbread which makes driving this vehicle a breeze. All weather "leather like" vinyl was selected coordinating colors to finish off the interior. Vehicle is currently being stored in a temperature controlled collector car garage.
